Mrs. Carter

Head Director

Ashley Carter is currently in her 5th year of teaching. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2011. Mrs. Carter began her teaching career as associate choir director at Shoemaker High School in Killeen. Since 2015, she has lived in Germany in the region of Bavaria, where she studied at the Nuremberg Music Conservatory and earned her Masters Degree in Choral Conducting.

Mrs. Carter is a life-long performing vocalist and is an active participant in the worship team at her church. Throughout the past twenty years, she performed with choirs and as a soloist in Sweden, Prague in Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and the Canary Islands, Portugal, NYC, L.A., Hawaii, England, and France.

Mrs. Carter is proud to be a former student of previous director Randy James and a former member of Harker Heights High School Choirs. She is excited to be the new director at Liberty Hill and hopes to build on the foundation of excellence established there. Her vision for choir is to produce and motivate toward excellence in singing while encouraging an atmosphere of continual learning, laughter, and personal discipline.
